Well, I played trough Escape from Butcher Bay again (the Remake this time) – and started “Assault on Dark Athena”. I really think that both games are seriously kicking some of those hyped titles out there all the way to hell and back.
So what do those games have that Riddick doesn’t have? Simple: An SDK.
So here I am, scuffing through the TCORAODA (The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena) archives with at least some hope of discovering
something nice… and what did I find? A whole truck full of dev manuals for the game – hidden deeply inside the belly of the application, some interesting OpenGL shaderscripts (gonna keep some of those) and a bunch of debug maps I’ll try out later.
Bottom line: Sad that there’s no SDK for this (imo) awesome game.
